NI Water charges 2026/27: do households pay?
Households in Northern Ireland do not receive a separate domestic water bill in 2026/27: NI Water confirms that separate domestic charges remain deferred.
Separate domestic water charges remain deferred. This does not mean supplying water has no cost. Non-domestic properties, including farms and mixed-use premises, can be charged; eligible measured customers may receive a domestic allowance. Connection and other service charges are outside this summary.
For non-domestic customers, NI Water says water and sewerage charges rose by 7.9% on average from 1 April 2026.
