Bills between 2025 and 2030
Ofwat’s 2024 price review sets what water companies in England and Wales can charge from 2025 to 2030. Ofwat said bills would increase by an average of £31 a year before inflation up to 2030 to pay for investment.
What the average does and does not tell you
- It is a forecast average across all Portsmouth Water household customers, not a tariff or a quote.
- With a water meter, your bill depends on how much water you use. Without one, it usually depends on the property, for example its rateable value or an assessed charge.
- It covers water supply only. Sewerage is provided by a different company and is not included in this average.
- Portsmouth Water says you are billed separately for sewerage by your waste water provider, normally Southern Water.
- Business customers have separate charges; this page covers household bills.

Social tariffs
