Bills between 2025 and 2030

Ofwat’s 2024 price review sets what water companies in England and Wales can charge from 2025 to 2030. Ofwat said bills would increase by an average of £31 a year before inflation up to 2030 to pay for investment.

WaterSure caps the bill of metered households who receive a qualifying benefit, such as Universal Credit, Housing Benefit or Pension Credit, and either have three or more children under 19 at home or use extra water because of a medical condition. Water meters

Switching to a meter can lower the bill for smaller households. CCW says meters are usually fitted free and you can switch back to unmetered charges within 24 months, except in areas of England with compulsory metering.
